Acceptance
By signing in to CE Tools, a person accepts these terms on their own behalf and, where they are acting for an organisation, on that organisation's behalf.
The service
CE Tools is an engineering-practice platform: validated calculation tools, site inspections and an AI use-case register, provided as a web application, a REST API and an MCP server. CE Tools is in private beta — modules, tools and features may change, and availability is not guaranteed.
Accounts
Sign-in is through Google. A person is responsible for the security of the Google account they sign in with, and for the activity that happens under their account within CE Tools.
Engineering judgement
Calculation tools implement published engineering standards and are supplied for use by, and under the review of, a competent engineer. Every result carries the tool's own verification level and method-adequacy notes, which state the limits of what has been checked. CE Tools does not replace an engineer's professional judgement or their obligations to their own regulator.
Acceptable use
- Access only your own organisation's data, or another organisation's with its permission.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or circumvent the service's security controls.
- Do not use the service to store or process content you do not have the right to store.
Your data
An organisation owns the project, calculation and inspection data it creates in CE Tools. How personal information is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
Termination
Either party may stop using or providing the service at any time. Where CE Tools suspends or ends an organisation's access, it will give reasonable notice where practical, and an organisation may export its own data before access ends.
Liability
CE Tools is provided "as is" during the private beta. To the extent permitted by Australian law, CE Tools is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service; nothing in these terms excludes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Australia.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the product changes. The drafted date above is the last time they were written or reviewed.
